Irregular Plural Nouns
1. Watch this video from Jack Hartmann to review what a noun is.
2. Watch a video about more tricky plural nouns that break the rules we have learned.

1. Irregular Plural Nouns
- Find a book.
- Look at each page.
- Make a list of all the irregular plural nouns in the book on a piece of paper.
- Write a sentence for 5 of the words you found. *Be sure to include capital letters and periods.
- Take a picture of your sentences and post them on your portfolio in Class Dojo.
2. Irregular Plural Nouns Tic-Tac-Toe (You will need note cards, paper, a bag, a pencil, and another person.)
- Write ten to twelve irregular plural nouns on the note cards and put them in a bag.
- Draw a Tic-Tac-Toe board on a piece of paper. It looks like this (#), but it isn't tilted.*
- Now you're ready to play. The tallest person goes first.
- On your turn, pick one card from the bag. Read the word.
- If you are correct, you draw and X or an O on the Tic-Tac-Toe board.
- That is the end of your turn.
- The person who gets three Xs or Os in a row is the winner.
- Record yourself playing this game and post it on your portfolio on Class Dojo.

2. WHAT'S MISSING MATCHING (10 number sentences/ 10 answer cards. You can print mine, or make your own.)
1. CHALK & TALK (You will need sidewalk chalk and a place to play.)
- Write ten number sentences like ___ + 2 = 6 and 10 - ___ = 7 on the sidewalk with the chalk.
- Have your child fill in what's missing.
- Then talk with your child about how he/she figured out what was missing.
- Take a picture of your Chalk & Talk and post it on your portfolio in Class Dojo.
2. WHAT'S MISSING MATCHING (10 number sentences/ 10 answer cards. You can print mine, or make your own.)
- Write one number sentence like ___ + 2 = 6 or 10 - ___ = 7 on a card. Make 10 cards like this.
- Write the answers for your 10 cards on 10 more cards.
- Put the number sentence cards face down in two rows of five on the left.
- Put the answer cars face down in two rows on the right.
- Turn over one number sentence card and read it.
- Turn over one answer card and read it.
- If they match, you keep the cards. If they don't match, put the cards back where you found them.
- Play until all of the cards are gone.
- Then talk with your child about how he/she figured out the matches.
- Take a picture of video of yourself playing the game and post it on your portfolio in Class Dojo.
