1. Watch the video from English4abc to review the sound ow and ou can make.
2. Go to Epic! and read the book Bouncy Mouse. How many words with ou and ow can you find? Make a list and send a picture of your list to your teacher on Classdojo.

1. OU and OW Word Search
- Find a book.
- Look at each page.
- Make a list of all the ou and ow words in the book on a piece of paper.
- Write a sentence for 5 of the words you found. *Be sure to include capital letters and periods.
- Take a picture of your sentences and post them on your portfolio in Class Dojo.
2. OU and OW Word Matching (You will need note cards, a pencil, and another person.)
- Pick 7-10 ou and ow words. Make two cards for each word.
- Place all of the cards face down on a table or the floor.
- Now you're ready to play. The oldest person goes first.
- On your turn, turn over one card. Read the word.
- Turn over a second card. Read the word.
- If the words match, you keep the cards. If they do not, turn the cards back over.
- That is the end of your turn.
- Take turns playing until there are no more cards left.
- The person with the most matches wins.
- Record yourself playing this game or take a picture playing this game, and post it on your portfolio on Class Dojo.
3. OU and OW Tic-Tac-Toe (You will need note cards, paper, a bag, a pencil, and another person.)
- Write ten to twelve ou and ow words on the note cards and put them in a bag.
- Draw a Tic-Tac-Toe board on a piece of paper. It looks like this (#), but it isn't tilted.*
- Now you're ready to play. The tallest person goes first.
- On your turn, pick one card from the bag. Read the word.
- If you are correct, you draw and X or an O on the Tic-Tac-Toe board.
- That is the end of your turn.
- The person who gets three Xs or Os in a row is the winner.
- Record yourself playing this game and post it on your portfolio on Class Dojo.
